Jewelry Care

Jewelry is often treasured for its beauty and sentimental value, and with proper care, your fashion jewelry can last for many years to come. Here are some jewelry care instructions to help keep your fashion jewelry looking its best:

  1. Store your jewelry properly: When not in use, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing your jewelry in direct sunlight, as this can cause discoloration and fading. Keep your jewelry in a jewelry box or a soft cloth pouch to protect it from scratches and other damage.

  2. Keep your jewelry clean: Wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove any dirt or oil. Avoid using water or harsh chemicals, as this can damage your jewelry. If your jewelry needs a deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution and gently scrub with a soft-bristled brush.

  3. Avoid exposing your jewelry to chemicals: Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals, such as perfumes, lotions, and hairspray. These chemicals can damage the finish and cause discoloration. Put on your jewelry after applying these products.

  4. Remove jewelry before exercising: Sweating and exercising can cause damage to your jewelry, so it's best to remove it before working out.

  5. Be gentle with your jewelry: Avoid pulling, tugging, or bending your jewelry, as this can cause damage. Handle your jewelry with care and take it off before doing any heavy lifting or other physical activities.

By following these jewelry care instructions, you can help ensure that your My Galore jewelry looks its best for years to come.

Fashion Costume Jewelry Care:

My Galore Boutique will have some pieces that are gold, sterling silver, brass, vermeil, and gold-plated. Please note the costume pieces are not real gold and can tarnish. Frequent cleaning is recommended to maintain its beauty.  Wipe your jewelry carefully with a soft jewelry cleaning cloth to keep it clean and free of particles that oxidize.

Luxe Collection Jewelry Care:

Our stainless steel-based jewelry is tarnish-resistant! This refers to its 'water-proof' characteristics meaning it can get wet; however, we advise you to avoid contact with chemicals such as perfumes, hair products, and makeup. These solutions may damage the layer of gold or silver plating and will cause tarnishing or discoloration.
